Since moving closer to Denver 1.5 years ago I’ve been lucky to attend more Rocky Mountain Bead Society meetings and events. It’s always great being around people who love beads as much as you do, and everyone is so welcoming and kind!
Last fall I enjoyed visiting them as a featured artist, where I presented a lecture and a series of workshops, including the Crossroads Cuffs below. The other classes were: Tambourine Bangles, Band of Baubles, and Antique Connections Cuff.
In 2017, I was a vendor at their annual Bead Bazaar—my second time having a booth. Believe it or not, it’s one if the best shows for seed beaders in the West and it attracts a great list of vendors because of the number of people in the area who love beadweaving.
The entire show has such a fun and friendly vibe. The bead society calls out door prizes and their volunteers keep a well-stocked break/lunch room for vendors and even walk around to give the vendors free snacks!
I don’t believe I’ll have a booth this year so I can teach at the show instead. Have I mentioned how much I love to teach?? This year’s Rocky Mountain Bead Bazaar is April 28th and 29th. Come check it out!
